Sticky hands without the problem of inevitible unstickyness and grossness
…but I’m still a bit skeptical until he puts those words into action.
I guess that’s kinda how I feel about anything any given politician says, though.
I usually call it my ‘post-Nixonion viewpoint’. I figure all politicians…
so as the friend, I’ll explain myself in more detail, and after more reflection on the statement.
I’m not sure, if i was going to say it was a great step, It is a symbolic statement, as this is the first sitting president to take this position. But when being a good person is a politically controversial thing, courage on this is fairly praiseworthy, those who made politically courageous statements on civil rights in the 1960s deserved praise even when the statements amount to little more than being a good person, (not comparing the situations, comparing the responses)
The tragic thing is that being a good person is a politically controversial thing, on this issue especially. While Gay rights is gaining political support, but the issue is still polling 50/50 and therefore politically risky especially as individual states positions on an issue are significant in a electoral college.
Now on more reflection on the events that happened, I’m not even sure that Obama came to that conclusion out of his own volition, the administration’s response to the Joe Biden’s even was so clunky and incompetent that I think that Joe Biden forced the president’s hand. Where, It became politically necessary for the president to take that side.
On hindsight however, it seems to be less courageous then initially thought. I don’t know how significant the statement is on a long term. It does help to solidify the National Democratic party behind this position. Which I do think is somewhat significant as future policies on these issues almost necessitate one of the politically parties being united on a side of these issue.
Feel free to challenge any of my points.

voting in america. Now more suspicious than buying our politicians.
FUCK
OH MY GOD NO.
Time to buy a new car and SHOVE THIS ONE OFF A CLIFF
Fuck NO.
That is a Subaru WRX - I would fight all of those fucking bees for that car.
All of them.
NOPE. I’D JUST CLIFF IT. WITH AN M-920 CAIN. OR LEAVE IT TO DIE ON VIRMIRE. CHRIST, IT JUST NEEDS TO GET NUKED.
Just so everyone knows, swarming like this is a thing that honeybees do.Via wikipedia:
Swarming is the natural means of reproduction of honey bee colonies. A new honey bee colony is formed when the queen bee leaves the colony with a large group of worker bees, a process called swarming. In the prime swarm, about 60% of the worker bees leave the original hive location with the old queen. This swarm can contain thousands to tens of thousands of bees. Swarming is mainly a spring phenomenon, usually within a two- or three-week period depending on the locale, but occasional swarms can happen throughout the producing season.
If you’ve got a swarm going on in or around your property, the best thing to do is stay well back from it, call information and locate your nearest apiary (if you’re sufficiently close to one, that’s prbably where the bees are -from-). swarms usually relocate on their own to an attractive hive site, but if they’re trying to hive in an inappropriate location, a beekeeper can come and remove the swarm safely.
Honey bees in the US are currently under stress from mite infestations; exterminating a swarm in a situation where bee removal is possible is irresponsible, as healthy and genetically diverse bee populations are critical to population recovery. Seriously, we need these gals to pollinate our food crops and stuff.
Passing along the bee-relocation info. Please don’t kill bees! They’re important
please dont harm bug
at first I freaked out a bit but then I realized the were bees and not wasps and my reaction immidiately changed to ‘oh gosh babies you can live in my car whenever you want’
But yeah dont kill bees bees are cool
wasps are assholes though seriously fuck wasps
I know the comments are now kind of serious but all I can think is
ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES: RUN CARS ON BEES.
BEE POWER 2012.
While I would be terrified to go anywhere near my car, my first thought would not be to kill them.
I just wouldn’t know what to do.
And i’d sob and sit in my house and go WHAT DO I DO to Google.
i am terrified of flying insects ESPECIALLY bees but i would never kill them omfg i just cannot harm a living creature unless that creature happens to have a mouth and a human brain and a face i can punch
Reblogging for the information on how to get rid of them. But yeah, killing them is really irresponsible since bees are very important to our ecosystem.
Sollux would be proud.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE2
According to John Boehner, being wealthy means you are a loser. Good to know.
